Meet the team

Go Live Theatre Projects is based in the West End of London and has a team of staff who are passionate about our cause.
Gayle’s first job in the arts was in the fundraising department at The National Theatre. She went from there to Soho Theatre, Sadler’s Wells and Guildhall School of Music & Drama, working on all types of fundraising; from friends’ schemes and major capital appeals, to galas and corporate sponsorships.  Gayle joined Go Live in 2010 and now heads up fundraising and finance and supports Susan in all governance and strategic matters.
Outside of work: Gayle has pursued her love of the performing arts since childhood. She plays piano, attends dance class and is a musical theatre performer and choreographer. She is also chair of trustees for the charity Herts Inclusive Theatre.
Earliest memory of theatre: Gayle’s earliest memory of theatre is as a young child, watching her mum rehearsing on Saturday afternoons Show Boat with the Romford Red Triangle Operatics Society, utterly enthralled. She learned all the songs and is sad that she has never had the opportunity to do the show herself!
Ed spent fifteen years working in Marketing within the Financial Services Industry for companies like Visa, Santander, Citibank and Royal Bank of Scotland.
Ed is passionate about theatre and has been a long time supporter of Go Live.
Outside of work: Ed is London Theatre Blogger West End Wilma which he has been running since 2012.
Earliest memory of theatre: Ed’s earliest memory of theatre is going to see Christmas Cat and the Pudding Pirates at his local theatre. He loved it so much he played the cassette until it broke. He was delighted to find out earlier this year that it could be downloaded online and so he has been reliving his childhood ever since!
June is responsible for all Go Live Theatre Projects accounts. This includes receiving, allocating and paying invoices.
Earliest memory of theatre: June’s earliest memory of theatre is watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on TV with her family at Christmas and crying when she found out flying cars didn’t really exist. She now drives a pink mini called Truly Scrumptious!
Eleanor studied Applied Theatre at Central School of Speech and Drama, where she was lucky enough to work with Go Live Theatre Projects on their Playmakers programme in SEN schools. Throughout her career she has enjoyed delivering drama workshops with children and young people in schools, youth theatre groups and summer camps in the US.
Joining Go Live in 2023 as the Family & Community Projects Manager, Eleanor is passionate about providing theatre projects and performances to young people and families who may not otherwise have access to these opportunities.
Outside of work: Eleanor enjoys seeing as much theatre as possible and performs in an improv comedy group around London.
Earliest memory of theatre: Eleanor’s earliest memory of theatre is going to see Swan Lake at Norwich Theatre Royal when she was six and being so mesmerised by the dancing, costumes and music that she sat completely still for three hours!
Layne trained at the BRIT School and went on to study Drama, Applied Theatre and Education at Central School of Speech and Drama. Through her MA in Theatre and Global Development at The University of Leeds, Layne researched the value of theatre in post disaster contexts.
Throughout her career she has enjoyed a mixture of delivering and managing theatre projects with different community groups, from babies to adults in their 90s! Working for Polka Theatre she fell in love with puppets, and was also a Core Artist at darts (Doncaster Community Arts) whilst living in Leeds. Layne has taught English through drama in Thailand, Indonesia, China, Russia and across Europe and volunteered on projects in India, Guatemala and Nepal.
Outside of work: Layne can be found sweating in the 37 degree heat of a hot yoga class or trying to stay upright on her paddle board!
Earliest memory of theatre: Layne’s earliest memory of theatre is seeing De La Guarda at the Roundhouse when I was 16 – it absolutely blew my mind and changed my understanding of what theatre could be and achieve!
Greg studied Drama at the University of East Anglia before joining Creative Access where he coordinated training events for young interns from underrepresented backgrounds.
Having joined Go Live in September 2022, Greg provides administrative support to our Programme Managers and assists with the coordination of our workshops and events. Greg is passionate about delivering accessible theatre experiences to young audiences who would otherwise be overlooked.
Outside of work: Greg is a sound designer and musician, having released his own music since 2020.
Earliest memory of theatre: Greg’s earliest memory of theatre is playing Oliver Twist in his primary school’s production, where he nearly fell off a climbing wall during a chase sequence!
Originally from Leeds, Heather studied Drama at Kingston University London, before heading back to her hometown and working at Northern Ballet in their Learning team.
At Northern Ballet she coordinated a variety of projects for children and young people including the Burberry Inspire project which introduced over 10,000 students across Yorkshire to the arts.
Joining Go Live in 2022, Heather manages our Creative Learning projects and is passionate about introducing young people to the arts and theatre.
Outside of work: Heather can be found making a mess in the kitchen, trying to get others to appreciate the genius of Bob Dylan and cheering on the mighty Leeds United.
Earliest memory of theatre: Heather’s earliest memory of theatre is playing a munchkin in a production of The Wizard of Oz at the Leeds Playhouse with lots of other children from her Friday night dance class!
After starting out as an arts-obsessed carer, Mairi discovered ways to combine social care and the arts. They spent a few years working in creative support and facilitation roles in the UK and abroad, before studying for a degree in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education. Following this, Mairi supported learning disabled performers, artists and DJs at The Baked Bean Charity. There they championed inclusive arts practice through leading workshops and directing shows, and co-ordinating events such as inclusive, relaxed club nights for adults in South London venues.
Joining Go Live in 2024 as maternity cover, Mairi manages our SEND Programmes and looks forward to running some fantastic projects that improve inclusion in theatre opportunities for all young people.
Outside of work: Mairi loves anything that involves music or art but can usually be found getting way too competitive playing board games.
Earliest memory of theatre: Going to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on their first ever trip to London but forgetting their glasses. The music was good though!
Originally from Athens, Greece, Andreas studied Communications, Media and Culture before moving to London to do a Masters in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy at Goldsmiths. After various internships in Public Relations in theatre, as well as working in operational roles in the West End, he joined Go Live in January 2023. Andreas is excited to keep spreading our message across all of our social media platforms, as well as reaching new audiences and young people who have yet to discover what we do.
Outside of work: You might see Andreas at the Harold Pinter Theatre, where he sometimes works Front of House.
Earliest memory of theatre: One of his earliest memories of theatre is watching a Greek production of The King and I  and being super impressed by the production values, the sets and costumes, as well as the amount of kids involved in the show.
Hayley has been working in theatre for ten years. She spent a year with Cardboard Citizens taking a play to prisons and homeless hostels and fell in love with forum theatre and the power theatre has to affect change and empower audiences. She recently took a break from theatre and spent 18 months working front line for a domestic abuse charity alongside a role as a support worker for an autistic artist. Hayley is really happy to be part of the Go Live team and delivering projects to groups often excluded from theatre and theatre projects.
Outside of work: Hayley can be found jumping (or tentatively stepping) into cold rivers or trying and failing to learn drums.
Brad has worked in theatre venues and as a freelancer in London and the Southeast, taking roles in Operations, Live Events as well as Administration. He previously supported artists as a Freelance Producer. Brad also teaches every year at a residential drama summer school for young people.
At Go Live Brad manages the charity’s operations, ranging from Office Management, HR, Policies and Procedures, and supporting across all of Go Live’s many projects!
Outside of work: Brad enjoys cooking, gaming, and loves a good long walk.
Earliest memory of theatre: Brad’s earliest memory of theatre is performing as one of the Wise Men in a nativity play at Primary School, he has never reached these lofty heights since!
Robyn graduated from University of Leicester in 2018 and went to work in the Fundraising department at Derby Theatre. She first discovered Go Live as a guest at the 2019 Youth Leadership in the Arts Conference, and joined the team as Marketing and Development Officer after that. After a year working at Frontline, the social work charity, Robyn came back to Go Live to take on the role of Development Manager.
Earliest memory of theatre: Robyn is from Stratford-upon-Avon and most of her earliest theatre memories are of disgruntled trips to see Shakespeare plays at the RSC (which she has come to appreciate later in life!). She did however enjoy regularly renting Cats from the library on VCR.
