Mousetrap Theatre Projects is celebrating its 25th anniversary this week – it’s hard to believe we’ve been running as a charity for a quarter of a century! Over that time, we’ve taken more than 220,000 young people to the theatre, reaching those who would otherwise have limited opportunity to attend outstanding theatre productions across London.
To celebrate this milestone, we are hosting a Gala and as a feature of the festivities, we’ve launched a silent auction with 50 ‘money can’t buy prizes’ that include holidays, private concerts, artwork, sporting events and, of course, lots of theatrical experiences.
To take part and help us raise money for the next 25 years, we hope you’ll give our auction a look-in! It’s easy to create an account on our auction site, Givergy, and start placing your bids. https://www.mousetrap25auction.com/
In this newsletter, I also want to share with you an update on our Playmakers project. 211 pupils across three primary schools watched professional actors perform the plays they had written together in class, and their joy at seeing what they had created was truly magical. I hope you will enjoy reading about their experience – and the brief glimpse into their limitless imaginations which the included video offers!
With all good wishes,
Susan Whiddington CBE, Chief Executive
