Go Live Fortnight trip to Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)
Tuesday 14th May 2024 @ 7.30pm or Tuesday 21st May 2024 @ 7.30pm
Criterion Theatre, London
Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) became the talk of the town when it premiered at London's Kiln Theatre in 2023.
Dougal is a naive, impossibly upbeat Brit who's just landed in New York for his dad’s second wedding. The dad he’s never known. Waiting for him at the airport is Robin, the sister of the bride. She’s a native New Yorker, she’s late for work, and she doesn’t have time to stop and see the sights. Instant attraction? Nope. But with an extravagant wedding approaching and the Big Apple at their feet, anything could happen...
This intimate and refreshingly original show is one part "rom" and two parts "com", with a splash of culture clash. Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) is the toast of 2024!
Book Your Tickets Here
1. This offer is exclusive to members of Go Live only. Please use the email address and mobile number we have listed on our database or your order may be rejected. Please do not pass this on to anyone outside of the club.
2. If tickets are sold out you can join the waiting list in case tickets are returned by emailing andreas@golivetheatre.org.uk
3. Please behave in an appropriate manner at the performance and refrain from using mobile phones and talking during the show. Inappropriate behaviour may cause us to not be given ticket offers in the future.
4. You can only book a maximum of 2 tickets per Go Live member. Your guest must be within the same age range and ID’s are checked on collection. Parents are not allowed to attend unless they are your carer.
5. Tickets are non refundable. If we have a waiting list we can try to resell them and then refund you (with enough notice, and minus the booking fee) – this is, however, not guaranteed. If you are unable to attend the performance, you must let us know as soon as possible.
6. By not informing us that you are unable to attend after booking could be taking the opportunity away from a young person who would otherwise not be able to afford to go to the theatre.
7. Members of the Go Live Theatre Projects team and Youth Forum will be at the venue ready to greet and issue your tickets from 45 minutes prior to the performance starts. Please allow plenty of time and remember to bring a valid ID proving your date of birth. If you are running late for any reason please let us know so we can leave your tickets at the box office.
