Get ready to feel all senses fired as we transport you to another world… when Martians invaded London in 1898 and very nearly won. THE WAR OF THE WORLDS: THE IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE is a new, completely unique event where live actors, virtual reality, and sensational 5D effects place you INSIDE the action.
Your journey begins in The Spirit of Man, a steampunk bar and restaurant on London’s Leadenhall Street… With journalist George Herbert as your guide, you’ll crawl, slide and weave your way through 24 extraordinary scenes, experiencing first hand the fear and destruction of the Martian invasion.
You’re not just watching. It’s happening and you’re part of the story. You’ll visit the Royal Observatory, sneak into a deserted house, escape London by boat and even fly to Mars – all with Jeff Wayne’s multi award-winning musical version of THE WAR OF THE WORLDS as your soundtrack! Don’t miss it, this astonishing multi award-winning experience is only available for a limited time.
Feel the earth shake and duck for cover as 300 foot Martian Fighting Machines attack on all sides! You’ll believe it’s happening with 3D immersive sound, holographic projection, scents, heat, virtual reality and motion simulators all combining to recreate the savage destruction of the Martian forces. There are some surprises and moments of suspense, but don’t worry, it’s a fun experience and most people don’t find it too scary.

2. If tickets are sold out you can join the waiting list in case tickets are returned by emailing andreas@golivetheatre.org.uk
3. Please behave in an appropriate manner at the performance and refrain from using mobile phones and talking during the show. Inappropriate behaviour may cause us to not be given ticket offers in the future.
4. You can only book a maximum of 2 tickets per person. Your guest must be within the same age range and ID’s are checked on collection. Parents are not allowed to attend unless they are your carer.
5. Tickets are non refundable. If we have a waiting list we can try to resell them and then refund you (with enough notice, and minus the booking fee) – this is, however, not guaranteed. If you are unable to attend the performance, you must let us know as soon as possible.
6. By not informing us that you are unable to attend after booking could be taking the opportunity away from a young person who would otherwise not be able to afford to go to the theatre.
7. Members of the Go Live Theatre Projects team and Youth Forum will be at the venue ready to greet and issue your tickets from 45 minutes prior to the performance starts. Please allow plenty of time and remember to bring a valid ID proving your date of birth. If you are running late for any reason please let us know so we can leave your tickets at the box office.
