NextStage is delivered in FE colleges to learners with mild to moderate learning disabilities; our workshops are structured to complement the existing programmes the young people are on, such as Supported Internships or Employment Prep programmes. The sessions build communication, emotional intelligence and resilience, team skills and collaboration, listening skills, and develops their confidence for interviews, employment and for leaving education.

The project includes

  • Tickets to a West End theatre show of your choice
  • One week of NextStage workshops in your college
  • Visit to a theatre/arts workplace to find out about the different jobs that are available in the arts and meet members of staff

Key outcomes

Through Next Stage, students develop employability skills in several key areas including:
