Explore programme

What is it?

Explore is a bespoke theatre workshop package, tailored to the needs and interests of your pupils. Our experienced creative facilitators will design a programme for you and your learners that supports with learning alongside being fun and allowing for play and creative discovery.

Previous Explore projects have included

  • Watching The Lion King in the West End and using the music and story as a springboard to explore nature and themes of family
  • Exploring a topic from the curriculum, for example citizenship, through use of puppets and movement
  • Devising a short play based around the school values of kindness and friendship and sharing this play in assembly.

Dates

Project Aims & Outcomes

We will work around you and can run for any week during term time. If you would like the project to be a response to the theatre trip then this may affect dates due to ticket availability and needs of group (for example when relaxed environment performances are taking place).

The project works best across five days, for example: Monday to Friday 9am – 12:30pm

The Explore programme is proven to:

  • build confidence in each individual
  • increase self-expression, both physically and verbally
  • encourage engagement in classroom settings
  • unlock creativity and imagination
  • boost communication skills
  • encourage teamwork and collaboration

Explore includes:

  • A trip to the theatre. This show will be selected in consultation with you depending on the needs and interests of your learners.

  • A consultation and planning meeting where we design the project to suit your needs

  • One week workshop programme, in school, delivered by one of our experienced creative facilitators and an assistant. This works out as 17 hours of workshop time for your pupils.
