Stage Seen Day

 

Stage Seen is a bespoke theatre-going experience for Deaf and hard of hearing young people.

 

We’re excited to announce our next Family StageSeen day will be to The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium on Thursday 31 August @ 7pm

The day includes

  • Creative theatre workshop for the whole family to enjoy. This will take place in an accessible space near the theatre and will be led by Deaf and hearing facilitators with BSL / English interpreters’
 
  • Pre-show meet the cast in the theatre
 
  • Watching the 7pm performance of The Wizard of Oz with BSL interpretation.

Featuring the iconic original score from the Oscar-winning MGM film including, Over The Rainbow, Follow The Yellow Brick Road and We’re Off To See The Wizard with additional songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, this spectacular production will be a magical experience for all the family.

Join Dorothy and Toto on an unforgettable adventure as they are swept over the rainbow to the merry old land of Oz.

Key information

  • Date: Thursday 31st August.

      • 3pm: Arrive at Seven Dials Playhouse, 1A Tower Street, London, WC2H 9NP The venue has step free access.

        3:15 – 4:45pm: Family theatre workshop exploring characters and themes from The Wizard of Oz. The workshop will have a BSL / English interpreter.

        Dinner break - make own way to London Palladium, Argyll Street, London, W1F 7TF (15 minute walk from workshop venue).

        6 – 6:20pm: Q+A with some of the cast from The Wizard of Oz in the theatre at The London Palladium. There will be a BSL / English interpreter.

        7pm: Performance of The Wizard of Oz with BSL interpreter.

        9:20pm: Performance ends.

        AGE RECOMMENDATION 6+

        Please be aware the production contains flashing lights and loud sounds.

        Unfortunately the wheelchair spaces are sold out.

  • Cost: Tickets are £15 per person.
