Summer Stage is back!

Led by friendly expert practitioners, Summer Stage is a low-cost Performing Arts summer school for young people aged 13 to 17.

Over the course of 5 days, you will work together to create an original piece of theatre which is showcased at the end of the week. You also get to see a top West End show too!

Summer Stage Young Performers Week

Monday 12th – Friday 16th August

Love performing? Come sharpen your skills!

Our Young Performers week is designed for those with a bit more experience of Performing Arts or Drama – e.g. those who have taken part in school plays, one of our projects or are a member of a theatre club. The focus of this week is to help you develop your confidence, performance and collaboration skills.

Workshop week:

Monday 12th – Friday 16th August

10am – 4pm

Theatre trip:

TBC – mid week matinee finishing approximately 5pm

Summer Stage is aimed at young people aged 13 to 17 who might not otherwise have the opportunity to take part in a performing arts summer school. Summer Stage is not open to young people that have participated in the programme previously.

Please note this application does not secure your place on the programme – the Project Manager will give you a call before confirming all places.

All workshops will take place at St Anne’s Church, 55 Dean St, London W1D 6AF

This one-week course costs just £60 per participant and this includes:

  • 5 full day Drama workshops led by industry professionals
  • 5 x sandwich lunches
  • A ticket to see a West End show (with the rest of the group).

We do have a limited number of full or part funded bursary places available, please indicate on your application if you would like to be considered for one of these.

Previous Summer Stage Feedback

“J was very engaged in talking about the course. No standard yes/no answers, but full chatting. Managed to travel on his own after being shown. He seemed more mature and happier during the week.”

“I personally couldn’t afford to go to other schools, so this was a perfect option for me […] I love musicals and I’ve actually not really been to lots of musicals because we can’t afford it, but seeing a free one is just like a win-win.”

“I've made some great new friends. I've travelled somewhere new and been brave. I learned that my stammer isn't a problem for other people, just something that annoys me.”

How to apply

We aim to contact all applicants to confirm the outcome of their application by Monday 22nd July.
