Don’t you wish everyone could experience the joy of live theatre? You can help give the opportunity of a lifetime to a young person in need.
Here are a few ways that you can support us, flex your theatrical side, and be a Theatre Hero!
Organise a showtunes karaoke night, collect for us after your choir rehearsals or pull out all the stops and put on a show: there are loads of ways you could use your vocal talents to raise some funds for Go Live Theatre Projects!
If you’re a teacher, why not organise a theatre-themed dress-up day at school and charge people a nominal fee to participate. It’s a great way to promote and celebrate Drama across the whole school, and a perfect end-of-term treat!
Budding Bake Off champion? Whip up some Wicked cupcakes and organise a bake sale at your workplace! You could even stage your own mini theatre-themed Bake Off competition and get others in on it too…
If you need a bit of extra motivation to keep fit and healthy, why not get moving for Go Live! You could even team up with with some of your theatre-loving friends and organise a sponsored group walk around all the theatres in London!
Who doesn’t love a good quiz! Why not organise a theatre-themed quiz at your workplace or school? It’s a quick and easy way to bring your team together and do some fun fundraising at the same time!
What better excuse to take a break from digital distractions and go on a sponsored social media sabbatical in aid of Go Live! As well as supporting our work, you’re guaranteed to feel so much better as a result – so it’s win win!
You can sign up to Easy Fundraising and select Go Live Theatre Projects as your chosen charity. When you shop online at hundreds of major retailers, a percentage of your total spend will go towards our work with children and young people. It couldn’t be easier to sign up – and the Donation Reminder Extension is a handy way to remember to use Easy Fundraising when you’re browsing online!
If you’re able to donate £100 or more then become a Theatre Guardian and receive special news and invitations from us throughout the year!
Ethan, aged 17, never thought his little brother, Aidan, would be able to enjoy going to the theatre until he went to his first show with Go Live Theatre Projects. This has changed his life and, as a family, they have been able to see shows which ordinarily would not be accessible. Ethan was so moved by his brother’s new-found love of theatre and, after watching our relaxed performance of Wicked, he decided to take the ultimate leap of faith and do a sponsored skydive for Go Live!
The jump happened on the 23rd of August and Ethan had a blast. His campaign raised £1,538, exceeding his £1,000 fundraising target! Watch the video here.
