We're partnering with John Lyon’s Charity to bring a Relaxed Performance of The Lion King to 2,000 young people...

We are thrilled to announce a special collaboration with John Lyon’s Charity (JLC) to mark their 35th anniversary of grant-giving!

Thanks to a unique, one-off grant awarded to Go Live Theatre, we are hosting a Relaxed Performance of Disney’s The Lion King for school pupils across nine North and West London boroughs.

On Wednesday 4 November, 2,000 young people will gather at the Lyceum Theatre for a specially curated show designed to make the magic of West End theatre, and one of the world’s most celebrated musicals, accessible to all.

We believe theatre is for everyone. In keeping with our shared commitment with JLC to equity and access, this performance is tailored specifically to support young people with disabilities, neurodivergence, sensory sensitivities, and other access requirements.

Generous financial backing from JLC has enabled us to offer tickets at a heavily subsidised price of just £10 per ticket, ensuring cost is no barrier to an unforgettable experience. The performance is already completely sold out with a substantial waiting list!

“For 35 years, John Lyon’s Charity has invested in opportunities that help children and young people thrive. We are proud to celebrate this anniversary by giving more than 2,000 young people the chance to experience the magic of theatre… We believe every child should have the opportunity to enjoy these experiences regardless of their background or circumstances.” Dr Lynne Guyton, CEO of John Lyon’s Charity

“We are honoured to have been chosen as the charity partner by JLC to collaborate on this special, relaxed performance… ensuring that children from SEND schools and all those with access needs are included and catered for. Events like this make theatre truly accessible for everyone.” Sita McIntosh, CEO of Go Live Theatre
