Garek Theatre Camp at The Other Palace is our low-cost, inclusive, Summer theatre camp for young people that took place in August.
Bringing young people together from all over London with the aim of creating a short piece of original theatre – learning techniques in drama, dance, and music along the way. Its primary goal is to give them time to develop their performing arts skills (whether they have a lot of experience or have never participated before) while also providing them the opportunity to connect with new people and develop important life skills such as confidence and teamwork.
Whilst we are collating the full impact stats, we couldn’t wait to share just a selection of these joyful photos from the one-week programme – tailored for those with little experience in performing arts who would benefit from a shorter, more supported pace.
We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make our summer camp a reality for young people.
A very special thank you goes to The Garek Trust. Their incredible generosity and support were essential in making this exciting camp possible.
A big shout out to our Week One team… Paul Andrews (Lead Facilitator), all our Assitant Faciliators (Katherine Sharp, Leanne Henlon, Megan Drabble) along with Georgie Mizu (Dance Workshop), Ben McQuigg (Music Workshop) and Will Alder (Tech Workshop).
Finally, thank you to The Other Palace for their incredible support and hospitality in hosting our camp at their studio.
