Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

We work closely with SEND schools and practitioners to make sure those who are D/deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted or have learning difficulties or other communication needs are able to have equal access to opportunities.

Stage Seen

For D/deaf or hard of hearing young people.

We provide bespoke theatre experiences for Deaf/deaf and hard of hearing young people, with drama workshops, stage tours and BSL interpreted performances of leading productions.

Envision

For blind or partially sighted young people.

Envision is a bespoke, multi-sensory theatregoing experience for blind and partially sighted young people and their teachers/carers or parents.

Relaxed Performances

Autism Friendly / Relaxed Performances are designed to provide an opportunity for young people with autism, learning disabilities or other sensory and communication needs, who would benefit from a more relaxed environment at the theatre.

This includes adjustments to the sound and lighting in the show, the general rules of theatregoing do not apply, such as having to keep quiet or sit still and venues create designated breakout spaces outside of the auditorium, in case anyone needs to take a break during the performance.

This year we welcomed over 1,500 people to our Relaxed Performance of Sister Act!
