StageSeen

We provide bespoke theatre experiences for Deaf/deaf and hard of hearing young people, with drama workshops, stage tours and BSL interpreted/captioned performances of leading productions.

StageSeen days include

A 90-minute drama workshop led by specialist creative practitioners, delivered either at the theatre or at a workshop space nearby.

A pre-show tour of the set, props and costumes.

A captioned or BSL interpreted matinee performance of the chosen play.

StageSeen days give students the opportunity to:

  • Explore and experience theatre in a friendly and supported environment
  • Build confidence and social skills, as they mix with other deaf and hard of hearing young people from across the country
  • Gain insight and understanding of the work that goes into staging a show
  • Develop their emotional literacy and imagination.

We also run StageSeen days for the families of children/young people who are D/deaf and hard of hearing.
