Go Live Theatre recognises that the off-stage arts sector workforce does not reflect the diversity of the population and supports the sector’s efforts to address this - we actively encourage applicants from underrepresented backgrounds.

APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN NOW FOR OUR YOUTH FORUM!

Would you or someone you know be a perfect fit for these exciting voluntary roles?

YOUTH FORUM MEMBER

We are looking for 11 enthusiastic young people (aged 18 to 30) to become members of the Go Live Youth Forum; a collective of creative, enthusiastic, committed young voices helping us make theatre more accessible to children and young people.

As a Youth Forum member, you’ll take part in six in-person meetings per year, contribute to shaping our future, and gain valuable experience and training in arts leadership. No previous theatre experience is needed - just passion and commitment.

CHAIR OF THE YOUTH FORUM

We are also seeking one exceptional individual to step into the leadership role as Chair of the Youth Forum and Trustee on our Board. This unique position offers a valuable experience in governance - you’ll chair six forum meetings per year and attend four Board of Trustee meetings (10 meetings in total).

This crucial role provides a link between the Youth Forum and the Board of Trustees, and the chair will champion the voices of young people across the organisation. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build on their leadership skills, advocate for inclusion and opportunities for young people in the arts and gain hands-on experience in governance.

Both roles are voluntary and previous experience working in theatre is not required. What is most important is passion, enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to listen and learn.

We are especially keen to hear from young people with lived or embodied experience connected to the communities we work with.

This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Care-experienced young people
  • Young carers
  • Disabled, D/deaf and neurodiverse young people
  • Young people who have attended pupil referral units
  • Refugees and/or asylum seekers
  • Young people whose families have experienced challenging circumstances
  • Young people from a low socio-economic background
  • Young people from global majority backgrounds

If you apply for the role of Chair of the Youth Forum, we will also consider you for the role of Youth Forum member so you only need to apply once.

Deadline to apply: Wednesday 5 November 2025, 10am

ARE YOU A PRODUCER, A THEATRE, A MARKETING AGENCY OR INVOLVED IN ANOTHER CAPACITY ON A SHOW? WE’D LOVE TO WORK WITH YOU!

Go Live Theatre is a charity that uses the power of theatre to create inspiring experiences and unlock possibilities for children and young people.

We believe all children and young people should have the opportunity to experience the life-enhancing benefits of seeing and participating in theatre.

The challenge: Too many young people and their families experience physical, emotional, social and financial barriers to experiencing theatre. We are here to change that.

Our impact: Children, young people and their families enjoy shared, live experiences, alongside greater awareness of different opportunities, the confidence to pursue them and develop skills that prepare them for their futures. We also aim to help the wider theatre industry improve its education and access provision.

All profits from working with us, go right back into our charity, helping more children, young people and families experience the magic of theatre.

PROMOTE YOUR SHOW & SELL TICKETS WITH US

Get in touch today to access our highly engaged network of young people, schools and families.

We will collaborate with you to advise on the content and design of the closed-user group emails, as well as our range of fee options that suit your budget, to ensure maximum engagement.

We are here to help you generate future loyal audiences, energise your auditorium (perhaps for a cast performance) and are also able to move inventory quickly and discreetly should the need arise.

GO LIVE CLUB

Our database of highly engaged young people (aged 18-30) love receiving special ticket offers from our friends and have often had their first experience of theatre as part of our Family First Nights. We want to keep their passion for theatre thriving through this club.

FAMILY FIRST NIGHTS

The families on this database consist of those who've never been to the theatre before and wouldn't ordinarily be able to access. They have been referred to us by organisations that work to support them and the families stay on the list until the youngest child turns 18 - from there, they often join our Go Live Club.

RELAXED PERFORMANCES

Our niche, well curated, list of families with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are always very keen to hear about Relaxed Performances and any associated events.

SOCIAL

With our combined reach of circa 13k our social channels are followed by young theatre fans who love to see as many shows as possible, as well as families, teachers and friends of Go Live. Maybe you have a special performance to promote or some great new video content to share, get in touch to find out about all the opportunities.

RELAXED PERFORMANCE CONSULTANCY

Backed by over 10 years of experience, we provide consultancy services to theatres/producers wanting to host a relaxed performance. Previous clients include the RSC, the National Theatre, the Royal Court Theatre, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, New Adventures and many West End shows.

We can help provide a smooth-running, accessible, enjoyable experience for audience members and ensure theatre staff, box office and company are confident and comfortable in delivering the event.

We can also promote your relaxed performance to our growing, highly engaged mailing list of over 1,000 families and organisations for young people with autism, learning disabilities or other sensory and communication needs, who would benefit from a more relaxed environment at the theatre.
